First Aid Training, Smyrna, Georgia - free events

We have had several First Aid Training classes in Smyrna. This is a SuperSmyrna sponsored initiative, but the real people behind this are our intrepid firefighters at the Smyrna Fire Department. It is just one of the ways in which people all around Smyrna, Georgia are working together hand in hand to make life better, longer and safer for people in this community.

The First Aid Training/CPR Anytime events are usually at 9 am to Noon, Fire Station 1 at Smyrna Fire Headquarters 2620 Atlanta Rd., Smyrna Ga. 30080. The training covers things like what to do in case of an emergency, tying splints, stopping bleeding, what to expect when the paramedics come. It is actually reassuring to learn things like how the paramedics have a specific treatments for children of different ages, that they respond in four minutes on average (one of the very best in the state of Georgia) and how all Smyrna firefighters are trained and certified paramedics.

As a side bonus, you get to tour the fire station, see the impressive fire trucks (one of them is a $1 million truck!), and see where the firefighters get to relax when they are not busy fighting fires. Attending the First Aid Training is free. Registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis, but you must RSVP, which you can do here: RSVP.
