About SuperSmyrna

SuperSmyrna was created in May 2009 when leaders from five service organizations met to explore the idea of working together to better serve our community. Founding members are the Smyrna Area Council of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, the Smyrna Business Association, Smyrna Golden K Kiwanis, Smyrna Rotary Club, and Keller Williams Cares.

We wanted to be able to take on projects that were bigger than what our individual organizations could handle. Over the next few weeks the leaders developed a concept for increasing their impact in the community called “SuperSmyrna” based around the concept of pooling our resources to tackle larger projects. Later we expanded our concept beyond the original five service organizations. Today anyone can participate in our Volunteer Projects without having to join a service organization.

If you would like to volunteer to participate in our community service projects or just be informed of upcoming events, then please fill out the very short form on the Volunteer Form page.

MISSION STATEMENT

SuperSmyrna serves as a consortium of Smyrna, Georgia’s community service organizations to pool volunteer time, professional experience and resources to help Smyrna prosper.

We act as a clearinghouse for large community projects our individual organizations cannot do by themselves and upon approval by our respective organizations, coordinate joint effort.

Through our efforts, we will mobilize to build upon and improve upon the city’s positive image and great work of others for the benefit of our community.
